We will be joined by Robert Coover, author of The Public Burning and Pricksongs and Descants; Dan Chaon, author of the National Book Award-finalist Among the Missing; and Joe Meno, author of The Boy Detective Fails, for a celebration and discussion of the artistic possibilities of short fiction. Each of these acclaimed authors will pick a story of his to read, and then the University’s own Lawrence Rothfield, will lead a discussion of each story among the authors and the audience. The event will close with a broader moderated discussion between the authors about the short story form–its draws; its significance; its past, present, and future. Speakers: Robert Coover, Dan Chaon, Joe Meno; moderator: Lawrence Rothfield
