Over 200 Students Squeeze Into Stuart 105 for a Talk by the Author of Naked Economics

March 2005—In an event featured on the front page of the Maroon, over 200 students crammed into Stuart 105 on March 3 for the Chicago Society event “College Undressed: The Naked Economics of Student Life.” Economics Professor Allen Sanderson and Dr. Charles Wheelan, author of Naked Economics, talked and cracked jokes based on the relevance of economics to the everyday lives of college students.

Dr. Wheelan and Professor Sanderson seemed to have an endless supply of creative examples to illustrate their points. The event was such a success that a followup—“Globalization Undressed: The Naked Economics of the World,” also featuring Dr. Wheelan and Professor Sanderson—is planned for the fall.
